How Styng works

In short below; every detail, security included, is in the docs.

This website holds your lead lists, campaigns and inbox, and decides what happens next. The Styng app on your Mac then does each LinkedIn step for you, one at a time and at a human pace: a connection request, a message, a look at your inbox.

On your Mac

The Styng app opens LinkedIn in a Chrome of its own, in your own session, with no window and no icon in the Dock. LinkedIn sees your usual computer and connection, and nothing about your LinkedIn login leaves your Mac. It sends while the app is open and your Mac is awake; a locked screen is fine. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon and Google Chrome.

When it sends

While the switch is On, within each campaign's days and hours and never above your daily limits (Team → Members). Switched Off, nothing goes out, but replies still come into your inbox.

Acceptances and replies

Styng notices when people accept and when they answer, and brings every answer to your inbox, even long after a campaign ended. Anyone who replies, or whom you write to yourself, leaves their sequence at once.

Email

Optional. Connect your own mailbox in Profile → Email to add email steps to any campaign, run campaigns by email only, and answer by email from the inbox. Emails go out from your Styng address through your own mailbox (they show in its Sent folder), within its daily limit (30 by default) and each campaign's hours. Styng only asks your mailbox for answers from the people your campaigns emailed. An answer stops the sequence; whoever answers "stop" is never written to again by your workspace.

• Gmail: turn on 2-Step Verification, then create an app password named Styng at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords and paste its 16 letters.
• Google Workspace: the same, once your admin allows 2-Step Verification (Admin console, Security, Authentication, 2-Step Verification, Allow users to turn on 2-Step Verification).
• Outlook and Microsoft 365: click Connect with Microsoft and sign in with your Microsoft account, no password to copy. At work or school, your IT may have to approve Styng first.
• Zoho, OVH, IONOS and others: pick your provider, or Another provider with its SMTP and IMAP servers (in its help pages), and your password, or an app password if it offers them.

With Claude or ChatGPT

Connect your own assistant to get suggested replies in your tone, and auto mode: from your website to a campaign, launched only when you say so. How to connect it

Why it opens Claude or ChatGPT instead of staying in Styng: it runs on the subscription you already have, so no API tokens and nothing extra to pay.

One LinkedIn account per person.

What it does

• Suggest answers: your assistant reads the conversations waiting for an answer and writes one in your tone, from your last 20 answers. You find it in your inbox and send it yourself.
• Answer automatically: once you allow it in Auto mode settings, it sends the answers it is sure of and suggests the others. Each one leaves 5 minutes later: you can cancel it in the inbox.
• Auto mode: from your website to a campaign. It finds the prospects, checks each one against your target and writes the messages; the campaign starts only when you click Launch.
• It sends nothing unless you ask: Launch, Send or Answer automatically.

Connect Claude

1. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2. Name Styng, address https://styng.app/mcp
3. Connect, then Allow on Styng.
4. Back in Connectors, open Styng and set its tools to Always allow: needed for Claude's Auto mode.

Connect ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT: Plugins → Add → Create an MCP app.
2. Name Styng, server URL https://styng.app/mcp, authentication OAuth.
3. Tick I understand and want to continue, create it, then Allow on Styng.

Then ask

• “Prepare answers to my Styng conversations.”
• Add how you like to reply: “informal, short, suggest a 15-minute call.”
• Or use the Auto mode and Suggest answers buttons in Styng: they open your assistant with the request written.

Needs a paid Claude plan, or a paid ChatGPT plan. Your assistant sees your inbox and campaigns only. Disconnect it any time from Auto mode settings.
